Unfortunately,
due to a lack of interest/feedback/availability from both current and
former players within the short space of time left available to us
before the scheduled date of Friday 29th September, we have now had to
cancel the 30th Anniversary Dinner until further notice.
Fortunately, only one person had actually paid for tickets, and he will
be given an immediate refund. If we receive any more cheques before the
29th September they will not be banked.
There are several reasons why we have had to cancel the event. Firstly,
we had a problem with the licensing application which resulted in too
long a delay before we could announce that the Dinner was 'definitely'
going ahead. We then found out that numerous ex-Club members had changed
their mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses since the last time we
had any contact with them (which in most cases was the 25th Anniversary
Dinner five years ago), and from those who did get back to us and give
us an answer, over 50% of them said they would be unable to attend for
one reason or another. There were also such a large number of players
who did not reply to e-mails or text messages that it was impossible for
our current Management Committee Members to find time to phone them all,
especially with all of us having increased work and family commitments
at the moment.
We have left a
list of former players on this page who we would like to contact with a
view to re-arranging the Dinner at a later stage, and we urge them to
get in touch with us (if they have not already done so), so that we can
obtain their current contact details. It will then be much easier to
arrange any future events.

Even though
the Dinner has been postponed, we would still like to hear from as many
former players as possible that are listed below (if they have not
already done so), simply so that we can get hold of their current e-mail
addresses and mobile phone numbers with a view to contacting them again
if and when the Dinner is re-arranged.
